Beautiful Parade People!
Thank you to all of our most excellent Ghouls for making the 2024 Little Five Points Halloween Parade a great success! You showed up early and ready to roll!
YOU WERE AMAZING, from the honored L5P businesses at the front to the daring skateboarders flying through the air at the back to close us out. In between we had zombie dancers, zombie librarians, zombie babies, zombie girl scouts, amazing cosplay (The Circus Alliance had a person with fire coming out of his horns!), treasured activist groups, giant witches with smoking cauldrons, Professor Morte rolling his caskets down the road, The High Museum, a line of supercars to wow us all, masked wrestlers, mysterious hearses, haunted houses, taxidermy with a mobile graveyard, excellent ghost fighting squads, excellent bands of all types and sizes, unbelievable dancing groups, and roller skaters. We love you ALL!
*FIRST PLACE: Andrew Bones! The 14' tall, hand-built witch with a turning head and smoking cauldron was an immediate hit on social media. With his creations becoming more elaborate each year, we can't wait to see what Andrew makes in 2025!
*SECOND PLACE: Masquerade! A Heaven and Hell set with an amazing band and wildly costumed revelers rolling down the road. Scary and good!
*THIRD PLACE: Nexus Drumline! This group killed it! We love this extremely precise drumline that always shows up perfectly prepared!
**WITCH'S CUP: Stratosphere and SkateATL! Their death defying feats flying through the air closed the parade out with style! This trophy is awarded to a local business and is on display in the L5P business all year.
HONORABLE MENTIONS:
The High Museum! Wow! We were so honored to have their giant skull float built by special effects artist/haunted house builder Shane Morton, aka Professor Morte.
Krewe of the Optical Delusions! Unbelievable mass of madness in black and white moving down the road with custom vehicles and a splash of red for Halloween.
Rainy Day Revival! Massive taxidermy towing a graveyard!
Stayin' Alive Crew! This group brings it every single year. Killer precise dance moves, theater level costuming, and a great attitude. They were dancing and ready to go at 1:50.
